![]() During our stay, we had only 1 place for lunch and dinner Bistro 210. Another thing that was closed was the convenience store and gas station that is part of the resort. But we will not go back, when we might have gone back if these issues were addressed. She offered nothing as compensation for the issues we had, and I am not the type to demand it. I brought up several of my concerns to the manager while she was fixing our checkout. Took an extra 15 minutes to get checked out properly. They had to go get the manager to straighten it out. We were only on the hook for the BS "resort fee". They didn't seem to understand how it worked. When we check out they were asking for the entire room charge for 3 nights, which we had already paid to. Maybe knock off one or two of those bogus "resort fees"? Nope, nothing. It would have been a nice gesture to comp us in some way for the TV issue. Who wants to repack and unpack once in the room? Why Not just bring us a different TV? I spoke to the manager during our check out and told her about the TV issue. ![]() We complained multiple times, but nothing was ever done to resolve our problem, other than an offer to move us to a different room. The TV in our room never worked properly during our entire stay. The area we stayed in really needs re-done. I see they were doing a lot of work in another area of the hotel, so that's a good sign. The staff at the pool is first class.Jesse, Terri, and Hunter were the best! The only complaint i have is that the pool is quite a hike up a lot of stairs from the main hotel. the pool is nice, well maintained and clean. WHAT? 10 bucks a head to play mini golf on a course that was to be charitable, a hot mess? I would like to know what the 22 bucks a day "resort fee" is for? Don't we get a round of mini golf for the resort fee? That left a sour taste in our mouths, as it just felt wrong to do that. We got the clubs and balls and the desk clerk said "that will be $20". WHAT? We checked bak later with someone different and they told us that we could play mini golf, just stop at the front desk for clubs and balls. SO we decided to play a round of mini golf, which is a favorite activity for my wife and me. Allie and all of the women at the Bistro were just top notch. The people there were fantastic, they really go out of their way to help their guests. The only place to eat onsite was Bistro 210. I see their website now shows it opened on 6/15, but no mention of that earlier. We were going to have dinner at their Gazebo grill. We asked him some questions, and his answers were our first clue that things were not what they appeared to be on their website. Check in was smooth and the man checking us in was friendly and pleasant (Blending). We arrived there late Wednesday afternoon. Their site promised some great amenities, so we booked a Wednesday to Saturday stay. She found Peek n Peak was about a 2.5 hour drive from us, and they had reasonable rates. My wife and i decided to take a little min vacation somewhere close to home. ![]() And will not ever return to this resort.… Needless to say for the price we paid we expected better service. We’ve stayed here many times in the past and have never experienced brown water. Also, the manager of the resort told us this is a common problem that occurs on the site because they use well water. They did say I could shower in the pool area and then offered to refund us $40 in resort fees, which they never did. We were told that th resort was full and we would just need to let the water run for 15 minutes each time we wanted to shower. We talked to management and they wouldn’t do anything for us. This continued into the second night and the last morning we were there. He also told us that brown water would not hurt us. The front desk told us it was probably caused by copper pipes and maintenance told us it would probably clear up if we let it run for 15 to 20 minutes. I reported it first thing in the morning after testing it again and it was still running brown. When we tried to use the shower the 1st evening our water ran brown. We paid over $500 for 2 nights at the resort.
